About The Position

Austin Benefits Group is a leading employee benefits firm delivering smart benefit solutions to private and publicly traded companies. This role is for a Benefits Administration Specialist who is detail-oriented and enjoys problem-solving. As a Client Benefits Coordinator, you will be the operational heartbeat of the client service model, processing enrollments, managing eligibility changes, conducting audits, and ensuring timely and accurate support for clients and employees. This is a high-impact role with direct ownership over outcomes that touch real people's lives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of administrative or data entry experience
  • HR/benefits background strongly preferred
  • Experience with Employee Navigator or similar benefits administration platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Above-average technical aptitude — you learn new systems quickly
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy under deadline pressure
  • Strong communication skills — you can handle sensitive inquiries with professionalism and care
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

  • Process Open Enrollment elections, new hire enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life events with speed and accuracy
  • Meet and exceed company standards for weekly changes, open enrollment processing, and audit accuracy
  • Conduct regular audits to verify enrollment accuracy and resolve any discrepancies — within one week or less
  • Work directly with clients to obtain missing HR data and support life event documentation
  • Coordinate with carriers and clients to resolve Evidence of Insurability requests
  • Manage COBRA eligibility determinations and process with the COBRA vendor when required
  • Audit API/EDI/834 integrations to ensure no file transmission errors or carrier discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the Agency Management System
  • Proactively reach out to clients and new hires on missing enrollments
  • Collaborate with Client Experience and Analytics teams as needed
