About The Position

The Client Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting Marquette Associates’ investment consulting relationships with institutional clients. This role involves working closely with lead consultants and internal teams to deliver accurate, timely, and responsive service. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly and quarterly investment reports, developing client meeting materials, coordinating follow-up activities, providing day-to-day client support, assisting with investment manager and portfolio-related needs, and contributing to special projects and firm initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related degree
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience as a report analyst in investment consulting or related industry
  • Demonstrated industry knowledge, specifically around general financial markets, asset allocation, performance analysis, portfolio construction, investment policy, asset transfers and rebalancing
  • Experience with financial reporting functions
  • Proven client service skills and ability to present information effectively and professionally in written and verbal formats
  • Advanced Excel skillset; solid knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new software applications
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, with ability to work independently to meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Investment Metrics (formerly InvestorForce) and PARis is a plus
  • Interest in or progress towards CFA or other professional designation is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with lead consultants and internal team members to deliver coordinated, high-quality investment consulting support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and third-party partners, ensuring timely, professional, and responsive communication
  • Provide day-to-day client support by responding to requests, coordinating deliverables, and addressing follow-up needs as directed
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly and quarterly client reporting materials in accordance with deadlines
  • Manage projects for assigned clients by coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and supporting the timely completion of deliverables
  • Support lead consultants during client meetings by preparing materials, contributing relevant information, and coordinating follow-up items
  • Participate in meetings with investment managers to gather information and support ongoing portfolio needs
  • Mentor junior staff by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and supporting development
  • Contribute actively and constructively to firmwide initiatives, team collaboration, and a positive professional environment
