About The Position

The AECOM Government Business Line is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Client Account Sr Manager to enhance our partnership with NASA. Our longstanding collaboration on NASA programs encompasses projects at every Center and component facility, as well as enterprise-wide programs for NASA Headquarters. Client Account Managers are the primary contacts for AECOM's relationships with accounts which are strategically important at a regional, business line or global level. They have responsibility for developing, growing and sustaining our business with their client(s), working across our company to offer solutions that deliver, using all our relevant capabilities and local and global expertise. Bringing the best of AECOM to the client, on time, every time. This will be a hybrid position including a combination of both remote and on-site work schedules, that can be based in, but not limited to: Arlington, VA; Houston, TX; or Orlando, FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or other related discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including at least 2 years of leadership.
  • Prior experience with NASA and the ability to effectively navigate relationships within the organization is essential.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multifunctional teams.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in FAA regulations and/or aviation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Primary contact and leader for AECOM’s relationship with a one or more large Regional accounts or part of a team supporting a key Global or Regional account.
  • Responsible for developing, growing and sustaining AECOMs business for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinates AECOMs interactions with the client, to ensure consistent high quality of service and to resolve any delivery issues or conflicts.
  • Connects team to the client vision and ensures team is client-focused and that our clients get the best AECOM experience every time.
  • Coaches and supports other team members in building strong relationships across the organization.
  • Supports the attraction and retention of business development talent.
  • Accountable for meeting key business plan objectives for their client portfolio.
  • Monitor client projects to ensure high quality delivery, technical excellence and consistent client service experience.
  • Identifies risks and manages project delivery to mitigate impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to set short and medium term goals and strategies for the account to align with the client’s needs.
  • Identifies evolving resourcing needs for client portfolio.
  • Recognized by their clients as a primary contact with AECOM.
  • Has strong market and technical knowledge, which is relevant to their client responsibilities.
  • Known as the key point of contact for the client and for opportunities across specific market sectors.
  • Building a strong network within their Region or Global business line.
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence leadership to ensure their clients’ issues are prioritized.
  • Works with Regional Business Line and Market Sector Leaders to identify new business opportunities.
  • Understands and responds to business trends in their area of expertise.
  • Encourages adoption of key AECOM initiatives such as ESG and digitalization.
  • Is the relationship lead or part of the account management team for one or more of AECOM’s strategically important accounts.
  • Has identified and is building a strong relationship with key stakeholders within assigned areas of client responsibility.
  • Takes the initiative to manage AECOM’s response where client or project issues are identified.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership attributes that provide role modelling for others.
  • Champion for ethical and safe working practices.
  • Integrates AECOM and client values to positively impact AECOM’s wider reputation.
  • Drives growth in pipeline of potential projects.
  • Coordinates the capture of significant new business opportunities and the renewal/extension of existing large-scale agreements .
  • Liaises with Market Sector and Regional teams to identify growth opportunities.
  • Manages consistent approaches to working with the client.
  • Demonstrates good understand of commercial elements of contracts (financial, legal and governance).
  • Collaborates across Regions and business lines to build consensus on commercial terms.
  • Balances client and AECOM priorities.
