Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) Talent Acquisition Team requires: Position Overview The Client Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for the day-to-day management and success of client workstreams at One North. Working in close partnership with a Client Account Director, the Client Account Manager supports a defined base portfolio of clients and serves as the primary point of contact for project-level and ongoing client needs. This role ensures continuity across projects by remaining engaged with clients beyond individual project delivery, maintaining institutional knowledge, and supporting future initiatives. The Client Account Manager bridges client objectives with internal delivery teams, ensuring work is executed smoothly, expectations are aligned, and outcomes meet agreed strategy, scope, and quality standards. Location: Chicago is strongly preferred; open to remote within the U.S. (up to 25% travel).

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience in account management or client services within a digital, marketing, or design agency
  • Proven experience managing multiple digital projects, including web development, brand, strategy, or design
  • Demonstrated success managing a diverse portfolio of clients with a combined annual revenue of $2-3M+
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a knack for presenting complex ideas clearly to both technical teams and non-technical clients
  • Strong "people skills" with the ability to navigate difficult conversations, manage scope creep, and maintain client trust under pressure
  • Ability to look beyond the immediate task to understand a client’s broader business landscape and long-term goals

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day client communication, foster strong relationships, and serve as the central link between the client and internal teams.
  • Manage a defined base of client relationships, partnering with Client Account Directors to maintain continuity and long-term retention.
  • Actively manage the goals and direction of the client and practical agency execution, proactively addressing risks before they escalate.
  • Lead regular status meetings and provide transparent updates on project milestones, performance data, and strategic roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure every project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Translate high-level client goals into clear, actionable creative and technical briefs that empower internal teams to excel.
  • Support the development and presentation of creative ideas, acting as the final "quality check" to ensure they align with the client’s objectives.
  • Foster a unified team approach by syncing with specialists in Strategy, Creative, Brand, and Technology to ensure all workstreams are aligned.
  • Spot organic growth opportunities during ongoing client conversations, proposing new projects and services that drive additional revenue.
  • Contribute to long-term account health by participating in strategic planning and assisting in the development of new business proposals and scopes.
  • Partner with Project Management to track account burn rates, manage budgets, and oversee the invoicing and approval process.
  • Lead the creation of essential account materials, including scopes of work (SOWs), and cost estimates.
