About The Position

The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing general purchasing clerical functions including but not limited to the following: filing and processing data into the system database and providing general support to the purchasing department as needed. The position performs daily audits of cage, slot machines, and non-gaming revenue areas, investigates and reports discrepancies to the Casino Controller, and prepares information and reports for the Casino Controller to ensure compliance with Gaming commission and Company policies and procedures. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and files, anticipating changes and problems to maintain effective systems, assisting the Revenue Audit Supervisor on special projects, and attending meetings. This role requires the ability to work regularly and predictably and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school.
  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Knowledge of the Gaming industry, including principles and practices of a capital and operations budget.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and other accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of 10-Key calculator.
  • Knowledge of sound interpersonal judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and proficiency with spreadsheet software.
  • Knowledge of audit functions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical problems.
  • Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and guests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, and management.

Responsibilities

  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  • Performs daily audit of cage, slot machines, and non-gaming revenue areas.
  • Investigates and reports discrepancies determined through audit process to the Casino Controller.
  • Prepares information and reports for the Casino Controller in a manner to ensure compliance with Gaming commission and Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records and files pertaining to daily audits of areas of responsibility.
  • Anticipates ongoing changes, problems, and opportunities in order to maintain effective systems and procedures.
  • Assists the Revenue Audit Supervisor on various special projects.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
  • Perform work regularly and predictably.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
