About The Position

The School Registrar plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school's administrative processes. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive student information with confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of educational record-keeping practices and be proficient in both English and Spanish.

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school administrative or clerical role.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, parents, and staff.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of educational record-keeping practices and confidentiality guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including enrollment, attendance, and academic progress.
  • Process student registrations, transfers, and withdrawals, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained and filed.
  • Verify and input student data into the school's management system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Generate and distribute official transcripts, diplomas, and other academic documents as required.
  • Assist with the scheduling and coordination of student assessments and exams, ensuring compliance with district guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support to the department, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing correspondence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to ensure the efficient flow of information and documentation.
  • Stay updated on school policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned, such as filing, copying, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Foster a positive and supportive school environment, promoting the well-being of all students.
