About The Position

This role involves preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising deli products. The Deli Clerk will use various equipment, promote specials, and provide excellent customer service. Maintaining high standards for product freshness and sanitation is crucial. The position also includes preparing special orders, assisting with other duties as assigned, and frequent interaction with customers and associates.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
• Able to read, write and perform simple math problems.
• Able to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising the department’s deli products.
• Working with equipment like oven, fryer, microwave, cutting tools, scale and other Deli equipment.
• Using store signs to promote daily and weekly specials.
• Providing premier customer service, including greeting customers and responding to questions.
• Maintaining high standards for product freshness and sanitation.
• Selecting and packaging products ordered by customers.
• Filling, maintaining, and rotating products and displays.
• Preparing special orders.
• Assisting in other duties, as assigned.
