About The Position

This part-time position involves preparing and serving food and beverages to the public and assisting with the overall operation of concessions, under the supervision of the Field Supervisor – Concessions.

Requirements

Minimum grade 10 education
Previous experience handling cash, preferably in a food and beverage setting
Good customer service and communication skills
Courteous and tactful in dealing with the public
Ability to practice good lifting, safety, and sanitation techniques
Ability to function and contribute as an effective team member and to work independently
Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as it applies to this work
Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
Will be required to work evenings, weekends and irregular shifts
Must attain safe food handling certification within 3 months of hire, and maintain safe food handling certification

Nice To Haves

Ontario Smart Serve preferred
Current Safe food handling certification
Previous experience working in a food service operation

Responsibilities

Provides superior customer service in preparing and serving food, beverage and concession items to the public.
Receives payments, deposits daily revenue, and completes daily cash summary sheets; ensures daily deposits and float are balanced.
Assists with maintaining concession stock and stock records, which may include monitoring stock spoilage, ordering, receiving, and transferring stock.
Keeps the concession area clean and tidy.
May be required on occasion to perform Field Supervisor - Concession duties.
Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
