About The Position

American International Contractors (Special Projects), Inc. (AICI-SP) is seeking individuals with an active secret security clearance for a Welder position on a project in DOHA, QATAR. The company is a leading construction firm in the Department of State, Overseas Building Operations (OBO) program. This role requires a certified structural welder with the ability to cut and fabricate structural steel, read and understand blueprints, maintain a clean work area, adhere to safety requirements, and generate as-built drawings for changed field conditions. The position also involves assisting with other assigned duties within the scope of the trade.

Requirements

• Active SECRET security clearance
• Structural Welder with Structural Welding Certification (Dated Within the last 2 Years)
• 2+ years’ construction industry experience on overseas projects
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications
• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of the safe and effective use of hand tools and power tools to perform assigned duties
• Flexibility in working overseas
• Understanding and adherence to local laws and customs in host country
• Following all Government site security requirements to maintain eligibility to work on project site
• Ability to take direction and work well with others, including third country nationalist (TCNs) along with meeting attendance requirements necessary to keep job on schedule and adherence to safety protocols
• Valid passport
• Ability to obtain appropriate work visas and other required documentation
