About The Position

The Cape Fox Facilities Services is seeking a Cleared American Guard (CAG). The CAG will provide construction security guard services for DIA facilities under construction aboard Redstone Arsenal, AL. The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position ($32.93 per hour for up to 40 hours per week) is comprised of a base hourly rate of $28.00 plus $4.93 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Requirements

Active, Secret (S) security clearance required for consideration.
Must hold a valid certificate for the successful completion of a twenty-four (24) Hours or greater CAG training course.
With SSM approval, individual CAG's may be deployed to the project without the CAG Certificate if they are to be trained and certified on this project with the training course required.
CAG's shall not perform in a 'stand-alone' post (i.e. they will be the 2nd CAG of a 2 CAG post) until certified through the CAG training course.
Must be able to perform the following physical activity for expensive periods of time: stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, and other related physical activities.
Knowledgeable of and demonstrates ability to apply Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform access control functions at all vehicle and pedestrian entrances to the Secure Construction Site (SCS) and/or Secure Storage Area (SSA) during hours of operations.
Screen all workers, vehicles, and equipment entering or exiting the SCS and/or SSA in accordance with the Construction Site Plan (CSP).
Deny introduction of prohibited materials such as explosives, weapons, electronic devices, or other items as specified by the Site Security Manager (SSM), Security Project Manager (SPM), and/or Construction Security Plan (CSP).
Conduct random inspections of all site areas to ensure no prohibited materials have been brought on to the site.
Report or notify all suspicious materials or incidents to the SSM.
Monitor the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV).
Perform other security related duties as required by the SSM such as roving patrols and escorting personnel and/or vehicles.
Carry out opening and closing procedures of the SCS each day as directed by the SSM.
Maintain a professional appearance and wear a company uniform with company logo.
Possess Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) associated with construction projects.
Complete safety training/briefing as required by on-site GC who is responsible for enforcing safety regulations for the project.
