About The Position

Clean Harbors in Boise, ID is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste in accordance with Federal/State/Local regulations and our company policies and procedures. This position will work both indoors and outdoors at plants, labs, customer sites and are responsible for assisting with lab packs within customer facilities, household hazardous waste (HHW) collections and lab moves. This is a customer facing position, working at customer sites daily. The Environmental Field Chemist are (NOT) laboratory-based Chemist. Requirements

Class B CDL with at least 1 year of experience.
Ability to obtain hazmat/tanker endorsement upon hire.
Must attend 2 weeks of out-of-state academy.

Responsibilities

Handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste in accordance with Federal/State/Local regulations and company policies and procedures.
Assist with lab packs within customer facilities.
Participate in household hazardous waste (HHW) collections.
Perform lab moves.
Work at customer sites daily.
General labor, including loading/unloading.
Packing hazardous waste.
Manifesting and documentation.
Transportation of hazardous waste.
Picking hazardous waste and packing from customer sites (bulk & drum).
