About The Position

National Star Services is a facility management company seeking a Janitor to clean and perform general maintenance in common areas of a 9-story apartment building and its three-level parking garage in Northbrook, Illinois. The role includes cleaning indoor and outdoor shared spaces, collecting trash, and following instructions for the use of chemicals and supplies. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Pay is $17.00 per hour, paid biweekly.

Requirements

• Provide two valid forms of identification.
• Speak English and Spanish.
• Have commercial and/or residential cleaning experience.
• Be able to start working as soon as possible.
• Have reliable transportation to get to work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and perform general maintenance in common areas, including the atrium, lobby, leasing office, media room, computer room, golf simulator room, conference room, fitness room, coffee bar, community room, elevators, elevator lobbies, stairwells, restrooms, and two outdoor areas with a pool and putting green.
• Collect trash from trash closets on each floor and from the parking garage.
• Clean up the dog park.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
