About The Position

The Cleaning Specialist works in the Engineering department at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of casino public areas and restrooms. The role involves using cleaning equipment and chemicals, providing responsive guest service, and following applicable regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures. The position requires mobility throughout the casino and surrounding property and a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge of floor machines and cleaning equipment.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Neat, professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene.
Ability to work independently.
Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Clean ash urns, trash urns, and ash trays.
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals properly.
Sweep and mop tile, brick, and concrete areas.
Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
Clean public and employee restrooms daily.
Provide outstanding service to guests and respond to customers immediately.
Participate in team projects, committees, and task forces by volunteering and providing input and suggestions.
Stay knowledgeable about current promotional programs and events.
Proactively address incidents and issues and ensure resolution with employees.
Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures ethically.
