About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at a skilled nursing facility. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role plays an important part in supporting the health and well-being of our residents.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Positive attitude and compassionate approach toward elderly residents
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred, especially in healthcare or long-term care settings
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces
- Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
- Handle cleaning chemicals according to facility guidelines
- Respond promptly to housekeeping requests and emergencies
- Maintain confidentiality and respect residents’ privacy and dignity
- Assist with laundry duties as needed
