About The Position

Valmet is seeking great people to mentor into the next generation of paper industry professionals. As a Cleaning Room Team Member at Valmet, you will be responsible for the removal of excess metal from plates in preparation for heat treat or machining processes. Having a strong mechanical background combined with interest in cross training in the following areas within the department; Shake Out Operation, Cut Off Operation, Snag Grind Operation, and Finish Grind Operation, will ensure success in this position.

Requirements

Desire to learn new tasks to grow their career
Must have a high level of initiative
Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to push or pull heavy loads with the assistance of a wheeled cart, hoist, or other lift assist equipment
Experience working with grinding, cutoff saw, or welding equipment

Nice To Haves

Forklift operation experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
