About The Position
Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.5 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets. At this time, we are looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Cleaner to join us at The Alexander in Halifax, NS. Requirements
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
- Proven communication skills, both written and oral
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or customer service role is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum cleaner to remove dirt and other waste
- Wash windows and interior walls
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers
- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas as well as amenity spaces
- Clean vacant units
- Report deficiencies to Property Manager for repair
- Other duties as required
