About The Position

Orange Aboriginal Medical Service (OAMS) is seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Cleaner to join our Facilities & Assets Maintenance team. This role plays an important part in ensuring our clinics, offices and community facilities remain clean, safe and welcoming for clients, visitors and staff. As a Casual Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across OAMS facilities while adhering to infection control and workplace safety requirements.

Requirements

• General knowledge of cleaning techniques and hygiene standards.
• Understanding of infection control principles.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.
• Undertake and pass a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
• Complete a pre-employment wellness check (including drug and alcohol screening)
• Hold or obtain a NSW Working with Children Check
• Current NSW Driver Licence (Class C)

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect clinical, office, kitchen, bathroom and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Empty waste and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towel and toilet paper.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Identify and report maintenance and safety concerns.
• Ensure facilities are secured at the completion of shifts.
• Complete cleaning schedules and checklists to required standards.
