About The Position

Marshalls is seeking a Part Time Cleaner to maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care. Responsibilities include the operation of the scrubber and buffer, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The role also involves adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, and being cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs. This position supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and maintains all floor care cleanliness standards. The cleaner will also maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms. Adherence to all company policies concerning Health and Safety, including refilling essential items, is required. The role includes supporting Front End coverage needs, adhering to merchandising philosophy and signage standards, participating in store recovery, and following all operational and loss prevention controls. Communication with management and associates, adherence to labor laws, and participation in safety awareness are also key aspects of the role. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber
Capable of multi-tasking
Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately
Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
