About The Position

This part-time evening position is responsible for providing customer service by maintaining the cleanliness of an assigned building and creating a welcoming, clean environment for the client. The schedule is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. Duties include cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and kitchenette or break-room surfaces; replenishing supplies; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and performing other floor care as needed; dusting and cleaning furniture and equipment; cleaning windows, mirrors, and glass; and emptying trash and recycling. The cleaner also reports supply or equipment needs and performs other related duties as assigned. The work may involve exposure to prevailing weather conditions, unpleasant or noxious fumes and odors, hazardous work environments, and situations with a significant chance of injury. Personal protective equipment, including eye, face, foot, hand, and head protection, is required as appropriate to the task or assignment.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in janitorial or related work is preferred but not required.
A high-school diploma or General Education Degree is preferred but not required.
A valid Ohio driver's license is preferred but not required.
Frequently or regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, bend, climb, handle and reach for objects, tools, or controls, and push and pull.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Have close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Use personal protective equipment, including eye, face, foot, hand, and head protection, as required by the task or assignment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect restroom sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces; polish fixtures and replenish bathroom supplies.
Clean and disinfect kitchenette or break-room sinks, countertops, tables, floors, chairs, refrigerators, and other appliances; replenish supplies as appropriate.
Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors, remove debris, and perform other floor care such as scrubbing, steam cleaning, shampooing, waxing, or polishing as required.
Dust, clean, and/or polish furniture and equipment, vacuum upholstered furniture as needed, and remove dust and cobwebs from walls, doors, and windowsills.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass and remove smudges.
Empty wastebaskets, trash receptacles, and recyclables and transport them to the proper disposal area.
Notify appropriate personnel when supplies or equipment are needed for cleaning duties.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
