Responsibilities

  • Comply with company guidelines in regard to timeliness/absenteeism
  • Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Perform tasks to ensure over all plant cleanliness by utilizing power floor scrubber or any other tools required
  • Perform all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to Standard ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as outlined in the Lotus Notes QSI Database Released Documents, Employee Handbook and Employee Norms.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all Health, Safety and Housekeeping rules and regulations.
  • Participate in the 5S program
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
  • Empty trash bins and replace liners.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning supplies.
  • Replenish supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored safely and securely, as well as fully stocked
  • Follow the duties and responsibilities specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act Sections 28.
  • Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Ensure adherence to established safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
  • Attends Environmental Health and Safety training.
  • Adhere to Magna Closures and Techform health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Report any known hazard, defect, incident or compliance issue to the employer or supervisor
  • Understand BILL 168 and uphold the policies that prohibit domestic violence, workplace violence and harassment in the Workplace.
  • Maintain plant & property cleanliness
  • Maintain floor markings (tape/paint)
  • Labelling activities and maintenance
  • Maintain 5S communication boards
  • Maintain 5S Red Tag Bins
  • Participate in 5S kaizen events or project work as required
  • Conduct 5S audits as required
  • Promote 5S culture and be an ambassador to the 5S program
