About The Position

This part-time evening cleaner works from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., Monday through Friday, and is responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming environment in an assigned building while providing exceptional customer service. The role requires a positive, friendly personality and close attention to detail. Duties include cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and kitchenettes or break rooms; replenishing supplies; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and performing other floor-care tasks as required; cleaning furniture, equipment, walls, doors, windowsills, mirrors, and glass; and emptying and transporting trash and recyclables. The cleaner also notifies appropriate personnel when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed and performs other related duties as assigned. The job involves frequent or regular walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching, handling objects and equipment, and pushing and pulling. Employees frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds. Work may involve exposure to prevailing weather, unpleasant or noxious fumes and odors, hazardous environments, and potential injury. Personal protective equipment is required as appropriate to the task or assignment.

Requirements

A high-school diploma or General Education Degree is preferred but not required.
At least one year of experience in janitorial or related work is preferred but not required.
A valid Ohio driver's license is preferred but not required.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical activities described, including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, climbing, reaching, handling objects, and pushing and pulling.
Use personal protective equipment, including eye, face, foot, hand, and head protection, as required by the task or assignment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect restroom sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, fixtures, and other surfaces; polish metalwork and replenish restroom supplies.
Clean and disinfect kitchenette or break-room sinks, countertops, tables, floors, chairs, refrigerators, and other appliances; replenish supplies.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove debris from facility floors; perform other floor care such as scrubbing, steam cleaning, shampooing, waxing, and polishing as required.
Dust, clean, and polish furniture and equipment, and remove dust and cobwebs from walls, doors, and windowsills.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass and remove smudges.
Empty wastebaskets, trash receptacles, and recyclables and transport them to the proper disposal area.
Notify appropriate personnel when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
