About The Position

We are searching for a motivated Cleaner to join our team! As a member of our staff, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility and maintain a positive member experience. You will also provide a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience!

Requirements

Overnight Cleaners must submit to a background check consisting of a National Criminal Scan, National Sex Offender Registry, National Security/Terrorist Watch List and County Criminal Search. Continued employment will be based on satisfactory outcome of the background check.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.
This position requires employee to work on-site.
Applicants for an overnight position must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire. Continued employment will be based on satisfactory outcome of the background check.
Must be 18 year of age or older.

Willingness to learn and apply company cleaning practices, policies, and procedures.
Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

Previous janitorial, cleaning, or custodial experience.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Maintain daily cleaning of all assigned areas floor in accordance with Planet Fitness standards and guidelines.
Thoroughly clean, disinfect and sanitize all common areas, ie restroom, locker rooms, Black Card Spa, showers, bathroom toilet and stalls, sinks and floors.
Wipe down and disinfect fitness equipment, weights, and cardio machines.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust throughout the facility.
Empty and dispose of trash and recycling. Maintain trash cans and cleaning stations.
Refill cleaning supplies, paper products, and soap dispensers as needed and notify management when inventory is low.
Maintain cleaning equipment, (clean the mop, bucket, empty vacuum bags, etc.).
Other cleaning duties as needed or assigned by management.
Clean and post signage for unsafe conditions, such as wet/slippery floors in locker rooms, bathrooms, shower areas and tanning rooms.
Report broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to management promptly.
Follow “Lost and Found Policy” and notify lost member property to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager immediately.
Follow all Planet Fitness cleaning and sanitization protocols.
Greet members in a friendly, professional manner when in common areas.
Help maintain a welcoming and positive club environment.
Ensure that cleaning duties and performed discreetly and efficiently during open hours.
Some cross training may be provided to assist in front desk duties should the club need additional coverage.
