About The Position
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and professional environment throughout the clinic. The position requires dependable attendance, attention to detail, and the ability to perform routine janitorial duties in an active healthcare setting.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Must maintain professional conduct while working around Veterans, visitors, and clinic personnel.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
- Empty trash containers and replace liners.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, and fixtures.
- Clean interior windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces.
- Wipe and disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
- Clean offices, hallways, waiting areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Restock restroom supplies as needed.
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment.
- Follow all facility safety, security, and infection-control procedures.
