About The Position
Binghamton University, a part of the State University of New York, is recognized as a premier public university in the northeast. Requirements
- Working knowledge of the properties of various cleaning substances.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions in English.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor.
- Ability to use various cleaning equipment and products.
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and shovel snow.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Successful applicants must be good communicators, have a positive attitude, and be able to work productively as a team member.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort in cleaning and caring for an assigned area in buildings and adjacent grounds and sidewalks.
- May work many weekends and holidays.
- Subject to mandatory and voluntary overtime.
