About The Position

The Cleaner candidate is responsible for performing all general cleaning tasks without assistance. This includes lifting up to 25 pounds when emptying trash and recycling, dusting, vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, general wall spot cleaning, and cleaning stairwells as assigned. It is crucial to perform every task with necessary caution and safety first, and to report any unsafe conditions or deficiencies to the designated contact person. The role requires reporting for work on time and complying with the work schedule, specifically the 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM shift. The cleaner will follow special instructions, pick up service carts and keys, and proceed with daily assignments. This involves entering offices, locking doors, and turning off lights if applicable. Tasks include dusting and wiping surfaces, emptying trash, observing and reporting malfunctions or damages, vacuuming and mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms and water fountains. Periodic tasks may include dusting cabinet tops, blinds, and wall decor. Upon completion of all tasks, the cleaner will return equipment, turn in keys, and report any issues to their supervisor.

Requirements

Basic English proficiency required.
One year of basic janitorial experience.
Ability to perform all general cleaning tasks without assistance.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to report to work on time for the scheduled shift (5:00 PM to 9:00 PM).
Ability to take necessary caution and safety first steps.
Ability to report unsafe conditions or deficiencies to a supervisor.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning tasks including emptying trash and recycling, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms and water fountains.
Perform wall spot cleaning and stairwell cleaning as assigned.
Follow special instructions and daily task assignments from management.
Operate and maintain cleaning carts and equipment.
Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned according to procedure.
Observe and report any mechanical, electrical, or safety deficiencies.
Perform periodic tasks such as dusting furniture and decor.
Transport trash bags to designated disposal areas.
Restock paper goods in bathrooms as needed.
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.
