About The Position

This position is responsible for performing cleaning tasks within the Toccoa location. The Cleaner will assist the maintenance department with cleaning tasks as part of the preventative maintenance program and perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or other members of the plant leadership team. Excellent attendance and dependability are required. This job involves frequent bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, and lifting, as well as the safe use of cleaning agents. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of and ability to use good housekeeping techniques.
  • Ability to manage time well and work independently.
  • Flexibility in daily routine.
  • Ability to perform frequent bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching and lifting.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning agents.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as packing lists, manifests, bills of lading, pallet tickets, or job orders.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to such tasks as inventory control, material ordering, and job order verification.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an assorted number of tasks or instructions.
  • Regularly required to see, hear, crouch, use stairs to access work area, stand, bend, reach and feel with hands and arms and walk.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and push 100 to 200 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is preferred.
  • 1-3 years manufacturing experienced preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

Responsibilities

  • Run the sweeper daily.
  • Assist maintenance department with cleaning tasks as needed in preventative maintenance program.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or other member of the plant leadership team.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and dependability.
