About The Position

An assembly/cleaning/packaging technician assist the Department Supervisor and the Production Manager to fulfill daily production requirements. This role operates within an ISO VII Cleanroom and requires adherence to established procedures and policies to ensure product integrity and employee safety. The technician will be responsible for reading and understanding work instructions, using controlled drawings for manufacturing and verification, inspecting products for defects, and tracking production output. Maintaining the cleanliness and integrity of the cleanroom facility through regular housekeeping tasks is also a key responsibility. The role requires the ability to measure length accurately, understand and apply tolerances, and contribute to problem-solving within the manufacturing process. Initiative, punctuality, and dependability are essential qualities for this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions, standard manufacturing procedure forms, drawings and production manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively to fellow employees.
  • Basic math skills required, ability to work with fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to measure effectively utilizing measuring tools.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret drawings.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to talk or hear.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with fulfilling daily production requirements in an ISO VII Cleanroom.
  • Follows procedures and policies in place to protect the employees and the manufactured product.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions.
  • Uses controlled drawings to manufacture and verify accuracy of the manufactured product.
  • Inspect products for visual defects or imperfections.
  • Records run times and tracks daily output.
  • Meet or exceeds daily production goals.
  • Performs and logs daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping tasks to maintain the integrity of the cleanroom facility.
  • Ability to measure length with a tape measure.
  • Understands tolerances and how to apply them to measurements.
  • Applies skills to solve problems in the manufacturing process.
  • Shows initiative, is punctual, and dependable.
