About The Position

The Lead Cleaner oversees the daily cleaning tasks of a cleaning/janitorial team while keeping assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, in a clean and orderly condition. This role requires successful collaboration with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization. The individual is expected to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written, and explain how to complete a task using basic communication skills.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial janitorial experience.
  • Understand that safety is a top priority and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Must be a team player and committed to working in a fast-paced, quality environment.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
  • Frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand 33%, Walk >66%, Sit <10%.
  • Use of hands and fingers to touch, handle, rub, grip, and feel <66%.
  • Reach above shoulders <33%.
  • Push/pull and grasp with hands and arms 33-50%.

Responsibilities

  • Stocking and inventorying supply closets.
  • Vacuuming.
  • Edging.
  • Dusting.
  • Cleaning and stocking restrooms and breakrooms.
  • Window cleaning.
  • Emptying trash and transporting to proper disposal area.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Assist Cleaning Manager with day-to-day operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety protocols, maintain environmental responsibility, and uphold quality standards.
  • Actively participate in HSEQ training.
  • Report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.
