Under the general supervision of the fab manager, the Semiconductor Wafer Processing Technician performs hands-on technical tasks in a cleanroom environment to support wafer fabrication and processing. This role involves operating and maintaining semiconductor processing equipment, monitoring workflows, and collaborating with other technicians and engineering to ensure high-quality production and continuous improvement. This is a third shift position from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM Monday's through Friday's. For the first months, 3rd shift new hires may need to train during the 1st shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM before moving to the 3rd shift. Additionally, there may be a requirement to come in during 1st shift hours for new training, on a temporary basis, as needed. There will be flexibility to start time during new training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and read/write in English

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in semiconductor wafer processing or related technical field
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and semiconductor fabrication equipment
  • Experience with MES systems
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Initiative and problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

  • Perform wafer-level processing steps such as dicing and inspection
  • Operate and maintain semiconductor fabrication tools, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness protocols
  • Maintain detailed records, including SPC charts and data entry for products and equipment
  • Use metrology tools (optical microscopes, laser confocal, profilometry) to inspect wafers and verify process results
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
  • Support continuous yield improvement and equipment qualification efforts
  • Maintain accurate logs of tests, trials, and production runs
  • Work in an ISO Class 6 cleanroom and adhere to 6S principles
  • Follow cleanroom protocols and handle chemicals safely
  • Inspect and disposition nonconforming products
