The Manufacturing Technician monitors, troubleshoots, sets up, changes over, starts up, and shuts down specific manufacturing equipment, including automation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Complete and pass required medical screening.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid forklift license.
  • Intermediate math and reading
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Procedure comprehension
  • Must be dependable and take ownership of the assigned work area.
  • Ability to adapt to changing manufacturing priorities, including overtime schedules
  • Ability to achieve and consistently perform at required manufacturing rates
  • Advanced molding processing knowledge
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering diagrams
  • Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the plastics manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform machine / mold set-up and shutdown duties for molding operations.
  • Assist with sample/validation runs on new and revised products.
  • Document machine and automation settings to include; mold setup and program changes as defined by written instructions.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve machine or automation malfunctions, quality, and in-process issues.
  • Machine operation including controls, safety switches, restarts/start-ups, and shutdowns.
  • Monitor and record machine performance rates.
  • Complete required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks as assigned.
  • Keep a clean work area, machines / equipment and sustain 6S principles.
  • Adhere to and comply with all written GMP/Safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in PEAK initiatives as directed.
  • Perform routine safety checks on equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Attend required corporate training/meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies.
