About The Position

This role requires individual to have a demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments. Position is responsible for the accurate assembly of components as specified by customer work orders, engineering process routers, blueprints and any applicable code or specification, in a clean room environment.

Requirements

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Accurate assembly of components as specified by customer work orders, engineering process routers, blueprints and any applicable code or specification.
Producing conforming components that meet all blueprint dimensions within the said tolerances.
Ensuring any moving parts must operate correctly.
Maintaining cleanliness and preservation of internal components along with the final appearance of the component.
Following all SOP’s and WI’s.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1yr experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor.
Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or Exert up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading blueprints, written instructions and assembling small details.
Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
Must be able to wear all required clean room gowning and PPE for extended periods of time and follow all clean room operation requirements.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one year of trade school, vocational education or apprenticeship is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-clean room wash operations and follow appropriate procedures for clean room entry with materials.
Perform complex assembly operations using a variety of tools and equipment within a clean room environment.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished component.
Use torque wrenches and understands torque methods and sequencing.
Use precision measuring instruments.
Install thread inserts, keenserts and fasteners.
Operate and trouble shoot equipment used in assembly operations.
Perform material handling functions using material handling equipment within the clean room.
Enter correct data into data collection system (IDC) and ensure accurate labor reporting.
Understand and properly operate the “Available Documents” program.
Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of equipment and work area on a daily basis.
Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
