About The Position

This position cleans oil off of stampings by various methods, and tumbles and deburrs parts as part of the finishing process. The operator will operate all equipment in the department safely and efficiently, use the proper media and chemicals in the correct amounts and according to instructions to achieve the desired results, properly document the processes performed on each part, and place the finished parts in the proper containers after they have been finished. The operator will also maintain equipment in a clean condition to ensure lot integrity and perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, including simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions
• Ability to operate department equipment safely and efficiently
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to gain proficiency through on-the-job training

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of finishing techniques and processes
• Understanding of ISO/IATF 16949
