Make a lasting difference in the lives of young children and their families by joining the North Idaho College Head Start team. We are seeking a passionate, collaborative Classroom Teacher in Post Falls who is committed to creating nurturing, inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive. In this role, you'll implement a developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum that supports children's intellectual, physical, and social-emotional growth while fostering a safe, healthy, and engaging classroom environment. Working closely with your classroom team, you'll plan meaningful learning experiences, complete child screenings and assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and support each child's individual developmental needs. You'll build strong partnerships with families through home visits and parent-teacher conferences, collaborate with Family Advocates and support staff, assist with referrals and specialized services, and contribute to efficient center operations. You'll also mentor new team members and volunteers, participate in recruitment efforts, engage in professional development, and help strengthen the Head Start program through committee participation and teamwork. We're looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills who enjoys building positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners. The ideal candidate is comfortable using technology for communication, documentation, and data management; demonstrates sound professional judgment, ethics, and confidentiality; and values collaboration, flexibility, and continuous learning. Most importantly, you'll bring a positive, child-centered approach to early childhood education and a commitment to supporting the health, development, and success of every child and family we serve.
