About The Position

Lake Center Christian School is seeking passionate and qualified educators to join our Secondary Social Studies Teaching Applicant Pool. While we do not have immediate openings, we are proactively accepting applications from talented candidates for potential Secondary Social Studies teaching positions that may become available in the future. Requirements

• A clear testimony of saving faith in Jesus Christ and a strong commitment to Christian education and agreement with our school's Statement of Faith and community lifestyle statements.
• Commitment to upholding the Christian mission and values of Lake Center Christian School.
• Clear FBI/BCI background check.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field with an emphasis in one or more of the listed subject areas.
• Valid Ohio 7-12 Social Studies teaching license (or ability to obtain one).
• Previous teaching experience in a secondary classroom.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more grades 7-12 Social Studies course
• Develop and implement engaging, subject-specific lesson plans aligned with our school's curriculum.
• Foster critical thinking, academic excellence, and spiritual growth in students.
• Integrate biblical principles into instruction and classroom discussions.
• Assess student progress through a variety of instructional methods and provide meaningful feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
