About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Visual Arts Teacher to become a valuable addition to our remarkable team at James Sheahan Catholic High School in Orange NSW. The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the visual arts curriculum while creating a nurturing and order learning environment for their students. We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school.

Requirements

• A commitment to Catholic education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools
• Ability to integrate technology effectively to maximise student outcomes and engagement
• Ability to work and teach as part of a professional learning team
• Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of effort, engagement and excellence through the development of a positive, supportive student environment and related structures
• Qualifications and experience in teaching Junior and Senior Visual Art Courses.
• A valid Employee Working with Children Check is required for this position.
• Child Protection legislation requires preferred applicants to be subject to employment screening.
