About The Position

York County Community Action Corp. (YCCAC) Head Start is seeking a Classroom Support Aide to join their team. YCCAC is dedicated to ensuring all people in York County thrive by meeting urgent needs, creating opportunities, promoting well-being, and advocating for just policies. This role focuses on providing high-quality child care and comprehensive education, health, and well-being services to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, creating a warm and supportive environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or HSE equivalent.
• Be open to completing a fully funded CDA course within one year of hire.
• Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
• Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with special needs children.

Responsibilities

• Playing with children.
• Providing daily classroom support to teachers and nutrition staff.
• Completing tasks to ensure a clean, safe and inviting classroom for children to learn and explore.
