About The Position
Become a PRN (as-needed) Classroom or Residential Assistant and help make every day a success for those we support. Work as little as once per month, up to 40 hours per week. The King’s Daughters’ School promotes independence through educational, residential and community services for individuals with developmental disabilities, continuing a 100-year legacy of service. The King's Daughters' School will improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through caring, goal-oriented service delivered by dedicated staff in a safe, warm learning environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma required
- Candidate should be able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen. (no felonies, no convictions involving abuse, assault, neglect)
Nice To Haves
- Valid Driver's license preferred
- Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism preferred but not required (most important is to show up and want to care for others)
Responsibilities
- Assisting students with daily activities, general functions and behavior modification programs
- Ensuring a smooth transition between shifts by being on-time, organized and ready for students.
- Performing cleaning tasks
