The SAAAC Autism Centre is a registered charity based in Toronto. The centre was founded in 2008 with the intention of empowering culturally and linguistically diverse families in need of ASD support. The organization’s mandate is to provide culturally responsive services that encourage lifelong development of children, youth, and adults with autism; empower caregivers through education, training, and peer support networks; and increase access through community engagement and knowledge sharing. SAAAC is proud to be able to deliver a combination of free and subsidized programming made possible through strong partnerships across federal, provincial, and municipal governments along with autism agencies and private donors. The Classroom Facilitator Level 1 (CF1) will work within a team to develop and deliver group-based skill-building sessions in the areas of communication, behaviour management/emotional regulation, social/interpersonal skills, functional routines and Pre academics to young children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder to support entry to school. The CF1 will consult and collaborate with other clinicians and/or clinical teams working with the child to align learning goals and strategies. This position reports to a Program Supervisor.
