About The Position

Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a full-time Classroom Audiovisual and Technology Support Specialist beginning August 1, 2026. This role is a member of the Technology Department and reports to the Chief Information Officer. The position is fundamentally a hands-on support role responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both audiovisual (AV) and general information technology (IT) systems across the school campus.

  • Experience working with Service Level Agreement metrics.
  • Excellent working knowledge of and previous experience with AV systems and equipment such as Epson projectors, Video Switchers, Apple TVs, Interactive Flat Panel, and Document Cameras.
  • Extensive Experience with Mac OS, iOS, Windows, and Chromebooks.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to the School's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all AV classroom technology support requests, responding to and resolving AV help desk requests in person, by telephone, or by email.
  • Effectively prioritize service requests and projects to minimize end-user work interruption.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment for classes, including projectors, microphones, speakers, interactive whiteboards, and displays.
  • Provide proactive maintenance and checks on AV systems in classrooms and meeting spaces to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Train faculty and staff on how to use classroom AV technology effectively.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on computers and AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee work of third-party contractors as needed for installation, repair, and upgrades of small to mid-size installations, including writing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing bids, and recommending vendors.
  • Provide secondary support to the AV Manager on an occasional, as-needed basis to assist with the setup for assemblies and community gatherings.
  • Provide tier one troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, iPads, printers, copiers, and monitors across campus, including breakage, how-tos, and small- to mid-size problems.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all technology assets (laptops, desktops, tablets) and AV equipment using management systems.
  • Assist with computer imaging and deployment including backing up, configuring, following a checklist, scheduling a meeting, and orienting employees to new computers.
  • Maintain timely and accurate help desk request records using a ticketing system.
  • Escalate support issues to appropriate technology department colleagues as needed.
