About The Position

The Classroom Assistant is responsible for delivering appropriate childcare and supporting school readiness skills for children in the Head Start program. The role includes providing comprehensive services to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. This is a part-time position for 186 days per year at Gulf Trace Elementary School in Holiday, Florida.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Satisfactory completion of American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED courses, or completion within three months of hire.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, or completion within two years of hire.
• Meet Early Childhood physical examination requirements.
• Complete fingerprinting and Level II background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
