Requirements

• Experience working with school age children
• Experience supporting instructors in a classroom or after-school setting
• Has a passion and skill for building hands-on projects with kids
• Excitement, joy, and passion for both working with kids and personal development/learning
• Knows how to help create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you support
• Is cooperative, supportive, flexible
• Is dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
• Appreciates support and clear expectations
• Provide a resume showcasing any relevant experience working with kids
• If you lack classroom experience, please share any other work you've done with kids, formal or informal — either in a cover letter, or there’s a space on the application questionnaire

Responsibilities

• Support the lead instructor in delivering age-appropriate after-school programming
• Help set up and break down the classroom before and after each class
• Help maintain a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment
• Track attendance and student growth, and offer positive, helpful feedback
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to assist
• Create a memorable experience for the children in your class
