About The Position

Luzerne County Head Start requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Proof of education required to meet the qualifications for position. This is a Full Time (37.5 hrs/wk), 10-month position working a school year August -June annually with an established summer break between school years.

• Bilingual Language abilities, English/Spanish, a plus

Responsibilities

• Work as a part of a team to assist in carrying out educational activities in the classroom setting.
• Partners with the lead Teacher and Associate Teacher as a 3rd person support in the classroom.
• Implement educational activities by providing and maintaining an atmosphere in the classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3 and 4-year old children.
