About The Position

The Mayo Clinic Division of Hematology in Rochester, Minnesota seeks to recruit a physician (MD or MD/PhD) with interest in Classical Hematology. Eligible candidates will focus research, practice, and education efforts on classical hematologic disorders. The ideal candidate will be a clinician/clinician investigator who will help expand our classical hematology practice, including caring for patients with autoimmune hemolytic anemia, bleeding disorder, hemoglobinopathy, immune thrombocytopenia, iron disorder, thrombosis, and thrombotic microangiopathy. The Classical Hematology group at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN is comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers, and scientists. The position involves a balance of research time, hospital service (hematology inpatient and consult services 8 weeks/year), and clinic-based activity.

Requirements

Clinical experience
Track record in clinical or translational research
Publication record in classical hematology

Responsibilities

Focus research, practice, and education efforts on classical hematologic disorders.
Expand classical hematology practice, including caring for patients with autoimmune hemolytic anemia, bleeding disorder, hemoglobinopathy, immune thrombocytopenia, iron disorder, thrombosis, and thrombotic microangiopathy.
Balance of research time, hospital service (hematology inpatient and consult services 8 weeks/year), and clinic-based activity.
