About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class D Non-CDL Truck Driver in Sarepta, LA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers a dedicated, home-daily route with a 300-mile radius, driving a straight truck with a 16-26' refrigerated trailer. The freight is touch, consisting of food goods, and the driver will utilize a pallet jack. Ryder provides paid training on all necessary equipment. The company emphasizes carrier transparency, ensuring drivers are upfront about pay, routes, and schedules. Ryder aims to deliver for its drivers as much as drivers deliver for them, working with a safe and reliable fleet.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 9 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
