About The Position

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
• Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements.
• Enjoy working with people.
• Quality and customer-service focused.
• Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures.
• 1-2 Years Of Experience: Recent tractor-trailer experience.
• 1-2 Years: Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment.
• One year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• DOT Certified.

Nice To Haves

• Flexibility is preferred with both start and end times, as shift start times will vary depending on business needs.
• Drivers will be responsible for supporting both shuttle work and outbound store deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc…), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
