Entry Level Mig Welder - 2nd Shift
About The Position
This entry-level Class C Welder position is an opportunity for a recent welding school graduate or someone with less than one year of welding experience to build a career in manufacturing. The employee will join the Cell 5 welding team, produce quality products, and develop welding capabilities through hands-on, on-the-job training. The position offers skill development, welding certifications, and opportunities to advance within the department. Progression is based on demonstrated skills, successful completion of welding tests, and management approval. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Pay is $20.50–$21.50 per hour, plus a $2 per hour shift differential.
Requirements
- Trade school certification or less than one year of welding experience.

Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform stud welding.
- Tack weld doors, sills, handles, and hinges.
- Perform grinding and finishing work as needed.
- Train in multiple welding positions.
- Learn to read blueprints and part lists.
- Develop measurement and tape-reading skills.
- Safely operate shop tools and equipment.
- Follow safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Participate in on-the-job training, skill development, and welding certification opportunities.
