About The Position

Smith Energy is seeking a Class B Tank Wagon Delivery Driver to safely and efficiently deliver petroleum products to their consumer customers. This role involves operating delivery vehicles, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining positive customer relationships. As one of the faces of Smith Energy, you'll play a critical role in helping customers keep their homes warm, their farms running, and their businesses moving.

Requirements

• Valid Illinois Class B CDL
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements
• Valid DOT Medical Certification
• Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience (DOT or non-DOT)
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Nice To Haves

• Previous petroleum or fuel delivery experience
• Experience operating tank wagons or bulk fuel delivery equipment

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and unload petroleum products while adhering to all company, DOT, and government regulations
• Deliver fuel to residential, farm, and commercial customers accurately and efficiently
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and maintain all required driver logs and documentation
• Complete delivery tickets, bills of lading, mileage reports, fuel manifests, and inspection records accurately
