About The Position

American Welding & Gas has an immediate opening for a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Springfield, MO. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat & Air Brakes endorsements. This position requires you to travel overnight four days per week, Monday through Thursday. The company will cover all hotel accommodations and meals while you are traveling. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, moving and storing of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Class B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrakes endorsement
Clean driving record 3+ years
Able to read and write English
Successful completion of DOT pre-employment drug-screen and physical, and company administered road test
Able to move compressed gas and and liquid cylinders
Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
Must be comfortable using computers
Ability to communicate with customer

Responsibilities

Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner
Pick up returns at customer place of business
Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
Performs other duties as assigned
