About The Position

Interstate Waste Services is seeking experienced CDL B Front Load Truck Drivers. Safety is our top priority. This position offers hourly pay of $28.00, with a work week typically Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays. An early start time between 1 am or 3 am is required. A minimum of 1 year of CDL experience is necessary. We provide a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k. Requirements

21 Years of Age & Legally Eligible to Work in the United States
Valid Class A or B CDL
Airbrake Endorsement
1-year CDL driving experience in the last 7 years.
Great Safety Record and Clean MVR
Working Knowledge of DOT, OSHA & Applicable Traffic Regulations
Ability to Speak & Read English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic & signals, respond to official questions & make legible entries on reports & records
Ability to Read & Understand a Map
Meet Physical & Safety Requirements of the Position.
Willing & Able to Work Required Worked Hours as Allowed Under DOT Regulation & May Include Weekend, Night &/Or Holiday Work

Nice To Haves

Front Load Garbage Truck experience required
Experience as a Driver or Helper for a Refuge Company is Highly Preferred

Responsibilities

Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material.
Transport material to a disposal, transfer, or recycle facility, potentially making multiple trips per shift.
Navigate through congested communities and confined or tight city areas.
Perform highly skilled backing maneuvers.
Climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
Perform driver pre and post-trip inspections to ensure truck compliance with safety standards, OSHA, DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.
