About The Position

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL B Driver for our Carol Stream, IL Location. This role offers the opportunity to learn industry equipment such as the Moffett and the Knuckleboom. Our delivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to the job site and physically unloading material per the customer's request. They also receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.

Requirements

• 2 years CDL Class A driving experience or 1 year CDL B driving experience.
• Current DOT medical card
• Clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Heavy Lifting experience
• Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen
• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.

Nice To Haves

• Moffett and/or knuckleboom operating experience desired, but will train
• Ability to drive a manual transmission

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to the job site.
• Physically unload material per the customer's request.
• Receive materials in the warehouse.
• Load trucks.
• Process inventory.
• Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one and two story homes with a boom truck.
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Unload trucks and receive merchandise at warehouse.
• Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area.
